In my self-portrait Sin Tomorrow, I investigate the depths of my own psychology. This is an image that comes from my internal basement; a dark place that many of us suppress when we are afraid to confront our demons.
Though this is just a glimpse into my complex personality, it is powerful imagery, representing the demons that I battle every day. I believe that man is inherently evil; we struggle with our true natures to act out of goodness. Our minds are presently consumed by sinful thoughts, as they were yesterday, as they will be tomorrow. Our lives are imbued with self-serving desires, which we justify when we inflict pain on others. Ultimately, I know that my personal destiny and the destiny of mankind are one and the same: sin is an inescapable truth that will taint our tomorrows.
