Do not adjust your tv sets :)

This one grew as the evening went on. I started with a little blade rotation, then added the tv element and finished off with the hands cupping the rotation.

Double blind pan for this one (one for the inner hands and one for the blade rotation) which made it a little more challenging. I needed to use the same flash guns on different powers and positions, then get my hands placed in exactly the right spot so they looked as if they were holding the light and so as not to fall outside the tv screen.

www.lightpaintingbrushes.com 9" diamond blade modded with marker pens to mimic the colours of the gels used on the flashes.

Lauren very kindly offered to be my flash popper and torch-monger. She's a good un.

Single long exposure light art shot in complete darkness.

Raw conversion with a drop of the shadows and blacks, boost in contrast and some other minor touches in LR.

Happy days.

Gunnar Heilmann Super cool shot. Loving it! Thanx for sharing.
Fallen.

Awesome night out tonight with Tei who I've not seen for an age. Was great to catch up over a couple of courses of lp.
This one is a progression of my last post but with a tilt to increase the size of the dead space in the middle rotation.
I did what I thought was a more polished version straight after this but I hadn't leveled the camera after my last rotation and Tei was stood on a slope.

Top night out buddy and we'll not have to leave it so long next time.

Dan (Chick) Roberts I love this shot!
Tim Gamble Cheers Dan mate. I'm buzzing off this one too. :)
Mother Nature.

Shot last weekend on a quick jaunt to the valleys with Phill F, Paul from LACE and his brother Terry....not Trevor.
Tripod and lens swap from the cross lit roots to the fiery silhouette.

John Reilly This is lovely and different! Has an underwater feel to it. I’m guessing it’s a shower and if I’m right it’s all that more impressive! I do a lot of shots in the shower but that’s because my tools sometimes have catastrophic failures!
Tim Gamble Cheers John. It's shot with me on the other side of an old office chair mat. I often think the same about the underwater vibe.
Subterranean Sequence.

I had a very enjoyable night last weekend with Chris T to my favorite and slipperiest tunnel in the Peak District.
Lots of experimentation last night for both of us and some lessons learnt and ideas born.
Cheers to Chris for his help with this one....definitely a 2 man job.
Single long exposure. Raw conversion in Lightroom. Happy days.

All in All.

Tidy night out in our go to location with @fastchrisuk last night. An hour or so faffing in the Kiln followed by an hour or so of star trails.
This one I'm surprised I've not done before as these holes in the wall are made for this type of shot. Two tripods, two lenses, @lightpaintingbrushes filter and hood attachments and some steel wool on a drill. Single long exposure light painting.

Cheers to Mart Barras for the inspiration for the miniaturization idea. Go check out his feed if you haven't already. Full of delightful light art.

Great to see this feature available on the app. Great work Dan and Gunnar :)
